Restorative Movement with Balls & Soft Rolling

Tuesdays 10:30am

"Restorative Movement" combines the principles of the Alexander Technique with a focus on balancing our body's structure and moving through all planes of the spine with conscious awareness, emphasizing the fluid nature of our movement for ease.

With Rita Rivera

Rita Rivera received certification in the Alexander Technique in 1993 and has taught dance and the principles of the Alexander Technique at Cabrillo College, UC Santa Cruz, San Jose State University and Sonoma State. My classes facilitate healing the body/mind continuum through insight, transformation and integration.

Certification: Four Winds with Alberto Villoldo, Chi-lel Chigong from Qinhuagdao, China, the MELT Method and Quantum Healing.

Illuminated Sound: An Energy Infused Sound Bath

Every 1st & 3rd Thursday evening

Bask in the soothing alchemy of sound and light. Join Susan every first Thursday evening for this unique session that combines the higher-dimensional vibrations of crystal bowls with the healing frequencies of energy work. As Susan plays the bowls, she will infuse them with Cosmic energies, similar to Reiki, allowing deep relaxation, which is precisely what is needed in this transformational moment on planet Earth. From this state, you can release the old, make space for the new, and uncover the profound wisdom within you.

Susan is a scientist, communicator, yogi, and healer. Through yoga, meditation, and various healing modalities, she has awakened many of her innate gifts as an intuitive healer. She is passionate about helping others become aware of their own gifts. She is a Hatha and kundalini yoga and meditation teacher, an intuitive healer, and a certified master in Usui and Kundalini Reiki, along with other advanced reiki techniques. In all of her offerings, it is her intention to provide subtle, yet practical tools that will support your expansion and help you remember your own divinity.

Energizing Flow

Thursdays 12-1pm

For any yogi with a solid foundation of yoga knowledge and experience wanting to get a good workout in and maybe even have some fun doing it! This class is in a warm room (around 80 degrees) and utilizes good music, a lively-paced intermediate flow, and some core work to get your body moving and heart pumping. The intention here is to build strength and stamina, challenge your cardiovascular system, have fun moving through flow sequences that feel great in your body, and get a solid workout.

With Shauni Marie Sweeney

Shauni discovered yoga when she was in high school alongside playing competitive soccer, and further developed her practice in her college years. She practices yoga to build strength, ease pain, and to find balance in her emotional, physical, mental and spiritual well being. She also works as holistic health coach, working directly with clients to address mindset blocks, and to help them discover their own authentic route to an empowered and health focused life.

Shauni believes that yoga is not only what happens on the mat, but what happens in the rest of our lives as well, making yoga a life changing practice.

Urban Zen Integrative Therapy

Mondays 7-8:15pm

Slow down, recommit to self care with Urban Zen Integrative Therapy (UZIT), a complete revitalizing experience. Rejuvenate and promote healing with stress relieving modalities layered together in one session; restorative yoga, integrative movement, essential oils, Reiki, guided body scan meditations and breath awareness.

With Emily Cyan Lery

Emily Cyan’s professional focus is an in depth study of optimal health. It is her experience that with consistent practices one can create joy and peace within. She has over 1000 hours of training in yoga studies of Hatha, Restorative, Vinyasa and Perinatal. Her primary teachers are in the lineage of Iyengar and Astanga Yoga and she continues to study and expand her teaching. A massage therapist since 2012 she integrates Shiatsu and active release bodywork theories into her yoga class.

Emily Cyan has been experiencing the powerful effect of Reiki since childhood, she grew up in a family of practitioners in Western Massachusetts. Her training in 2011 in New York City with Lena Falth and the Urban Zen Foundation led her to practice Reiki in a variety of settings; hospitals, hospice and cancer treatment centers. As an experienced bodyworker, doula and yoga teacher she is thrilled to be present at Breath and Oneness sharing her energy & skills.

Layering her nurturing presence, fun loving humor and Reiki practice, her classes leave one with an overall sense of well-being.

Qigong

Wednesdays 4-5:15pm

Qigong (AKA Chi Gong) is a moving meditation technique that not only improves physical fitness, but also assists us in achieving a deeper sense of calm (and thus gets us into parasympathetic nervous system dominance). This relieves tension and stress, and supports our body temples to heal, grow and repair from injury and illness.

With Beth Freewomon

Beth Freewomon is the owner of The Open Hearth–Tools for Self-Healing.(www.IAmTheOpenHearth.com). With her passion for holistic health and her confidence in the body’s self-healing capacity, she shares the practice of Qigong (AKA Chi Gong) with enthusiasm and the intention to empower. Not only is she certified as a Holden Qi Gong teacher, (by Lee Holden), she is an advanced student of Dr. Joe Dispenza, integrating the healing power of meditation and coherence into her own health and well-being practices. She currently lives in Santa Cruz, CA where she leads weekly in-person and online practices.

Kundalini

Saturdays 9-10:15am

This all-level Kundalini yoga class uses a combination of postures, breath, mantra, sound, and meditation to help you recognize your connection to your infinite self and enjoy an ever-expanding state of peace, love, joy, health, and prosperity.

With Naomi Wilder

Naomi Charanpal, M.A. (E-RYT 500) is a KRI-certified Kundalini Yoga teacher and intuitive counselor. With her inspirational energy, lion-hearted nature, and quirky sense of humor, many flock to her for support and guidance. Discovering Kundalini yoga saved her from a downward spiral many moons ago, and so sharing these ancient technologies using breath and mantra has become her dharma.

Naomi is a featured teacher for two international online yoga communities; Kundalini Lounge (London, UK) and Kundalini Live (Monterrey, CA). Her Youtube classes have gone viral, with The Keep Up Spirit surpassing 315,000 views.

A recording artist with two mantra albums to date, her last release, Aeons, made it to #4 on the iTunes World Music charts.

Aside from teaching yoga, Naomi is a therapist with a master’s degree in Spiritual Psychology. She specializes in Gestalt Therapy and NLP and founded The Oracle is You, an online coaching service dedicated to empowering the intuitive voice of the Soul.

Morning Meditation - Donation Based

This class gives instruction on the techniques and benefits of building a mindfulness meditation practice. Each gathering will include a talk & themed guided meditation (happiness, self-acceptance, gratitude, loving kindness and others) followed by participant Q&A. Drop in or pre-register online. Please arrive five minutes early, no late admissions.

Laxman Panthi was born and raised in Myanmar. He moved to the United States in 2010 after he studied Yoga and philosophy in Nepal for 10 years , and has been teaching Yoga and Meditation throughout the Bay Area and Santa Cruz. He has taught at after-school programs in high & elementary schools, senior centers, family centers, and a number of studios.

Laxman loves to bring Yoga, meditation, chanting and Yoga-philosophy to all members of the community in a fun and engaging way. He believes Yoga is not just a physical practice, but also an art of living. In his classes, he brings chanting, breath work, meditation, mantras and flow to your life. With youth classes, he brings yoga games, Sanskrit songs, and mindfulness play all through Yoga. His goal is to meet the students where they are and lead them accordingly.
