In a world that often feels chaotic or demanding, many of us have learned—consciously or unconsciously—to leave our bodies. To live in our heads, to disconnect from sensation, to guard ourselves from feeling too much. But your body was never meant to be a battleground. It was meant to be a home.
This practice invites you back—to gently return to your body as a place of safety, not danger… of belonging, not exile.
Through the breath, we will create spaciousness. We’ll soften the edges of tension, soothe the nervous system, and begin to re-establish trust between you and your body. There is no pressure to feel anything in particular—only an invitation to notice, to listen, and to let your experience unfold with compassion.
If being in your body has ever felt unsafe or unfamiliar, know this: you’re not alone. And you don’t need to force anything. This is a slow and loving reconnection—a remembering that your body can hold you, just as you are.
Let this breath be your anchor. Let this moment be your beginning. Let your body, step by step, become a place you can safely inhabit—fully, gently, and with growing peace.

Conscious Connected Breathwork is a dynamic, full-breath technique that uses continuous, deep inhales and exhales through the mouth—no pauses, no holding your breath. The pace of your breath shifts throughout the session, creating a rhythm that helps release tension, unlock stuck emotions, and shift your consciousness.
This powerful practice is accompanied by carefully curated music that guides the journey, allowing you to drop into your body and tune into the sensations, emotions, and insights stored within.

To get the most out of your class
Please arrive 10 minutes early so that you have time to settle into your space; we will begin promptly at 7 p.m.
It’s best to dress in comfortable, loose-fitting clothing
Your experience will be more effective and comfortable if you do not eat at least 45 min before class
Use the restroom before we begin. There are two available for your use.

This breathing style is not advised for any severe physical or mental conditions that are not under control, such as:
Cardiovascular disease
Detached retina or glaucoma
Brain or abdominal aneurysm
Epilepsy
Schizophrenia, bi-polar
Diabetes or thyroid conditions

Recent surgeries or major injuries
And if you are/think you are pregnant

Joyce Leonard is a Reiki Master Practitioner/Teacher, Breathwork Practitioner, Hypnotherapist, and Wellness Coach. She started on this path over 25 years ago as she began her own personal healing journey. Previous to this, she worked for 20 years in the corporate world. She now marries the intellect with the emotional and spiritual energies to passionately help empower others to discover options and possibilities in their lives, to heal what needs healing, to live life at choice, to have the courage to make changes that allow for more peace and happiness, and to open to more love and compassion for themselves and others.
