Embodied Light: A Winter Solstice Sound Bath

The Winter Solstice marks the ancient turning of the wheel-- the longest night giving birth to the slow return of the sun. This gathering honors that threshold, where stillness meets renewal and the inner flame is tended with care. Through the resonant tones of crystal bowls and the grounding pulse of the gong, we listen with the whole body. The sounds open a field for release, restoration, and quiet celebration of life’s cyclical rhythm. In the spirit of the old ways, we gather to root into the earth, honor the unseen, and kindle the light that guides us through the deep season. Together we will connect to the remembering that within rest, creation stirs.

With Reiki added to this sound voyage you will go even deeper into relaxation and restoration. Reiki is an energy technique used to reduce pain, stress, and anxiety. It also promotes relaxation all the way to your core, helping you feel more grounded, centered, and empowered in life.

During the sound bath, Joyce Leonard of Santa Cruz Reiki Works, will offer Reiki by placing or hovering her hands over different parts of your body, helping the energy balance and flow more naturally. You will feel her gentle, compassionate touch encouraging you to go deeper within and reconnect with your True Self. You do not have to participate in the reiki if you do not wish, and you will be able to communicate beforehand that you do not wish to be touched.
