Welcoming the Darkness

with Devi Peri & Chelsea Biklen
$40

As we're adjusting to the recent autumn time change and the whispers of the approaching winter, our hours of daylight continue to shrink. Rather than lament the shortening days, what if we were to celebrate the longer nights as an opportunity to commune with sweet darkness?

In this workshop we will use the tools of sacred breathwork and conscious dance to honor this shift and welcome the darkness as a friend, a healing space, and a source of renewal.

Come, breathe, and move with us.

For the event: If you have one, please bring an eye mask or blindfold for the “humming in the darkness" meditation. The practice of meditative humming and toning works directly with the vagus nerve to activate the parasympathetic nervous system.  It’s best done siting up, so would be helpful, if you have one, to bring your own eye mask. If you don’t have one, no worries, we can offer you an eye pillow that can be used while lying down for the humming practice (and also for the breathwork journey, which is normally done lying down).

Devi Peri

In my work as a somatic awareness coach I am committed to supporting those who feel disconnected from the wisdom of their body and are looking to nurture more depth and intimacy in relating to themselves, to others and to the natural world.

I am a sacred breathwork and embodied movement facilitator,  Nature-connection guide, a lover and caretaker of this Earth,  a musician, a dancer, a mother, and a muse.  I started exploring living in a more embodied way about thirty years ago.

As my attention and listening have grown deeper, I have been moved to respond to a calling to help this precious Earth and its amazing inhabitants by helping others re-connect with their truth and wholeness.

Chelsea Biklen

Chelsea is a community co-creator, student, teacher, and spiritual seeker. She finds her own divine remembrance and connection through ceremony, nature, silence, and movement. She has found that within music and dance she is able to stabilize her own consistent dialogue and trust in life. Chelsea seeks containers of safety and skilled holding to explore the depths of her own body as a vessel for liberation and connection - and she aims to create these spaces for others. In addition to being an Ecstatic Dance DJ, Chelsea is a Dancing Freedom Facilitator, yoga teacher, and energy and body worker. Her DJ name 'Presencia' comes from a strong internal value to show up presently to each part of the process of creation.
