In this 60-minute class, you will embark on a rhythmic journey designed to uplift your spirit and connect you with others through the universal language of drumming. This class is a delightful blend of learning, healing, and fun, where you will:

  • Learn 1-2 Drum Rhythms: Discover the joy of creating music as you learn simple rhythms that you can play together with fellow participants, fostering a sense of community and collaboration.

  • Learn the Voice of Your Drum: Each drum has its own unique voice and character. You will explore the distinct sounds and tones your drum can produce, enhancing your understanding and appreciation of this ancient instrument.

  • Experience the Healing Qualities of Drumming in Community: Drumming in a group setting can be a transformative experience, promoting emotional release, relaxation, and a deep sense of connectedness with others.

This class is designed with beginners in mind, featuring rhythms that are easy to learn and play. We have 12 djembe and shaman/buffalo drums available for you to borrow, or feel free to bring your own drum if you have one.
